(TruthAndLiberty.com) – Biden’s reelection campaign reminded voters that the Supreme Court’s immunity ruling didn’t “change the facts.”
On Monday, President Joe Biden’s reelection campaign issued a statement reacting to the Supreme Court’s ruling regarding presidential immunity, claiming it didn’t “change the facts” of January 6, 2021.
Biden’s campaign made the statement following the Court’s ruling siding with Biden’s rival, former President Donald Trump, that former Presidents are immune from prosecution relating to actions they made as part of their official duties.
“Today’s ruling doesn’t change the facts,” they declared, suggesting they’d be “clear” about the events surrounding January 6, 2021.
The campaign argued Trump “snapped” after the results of the 2020 election, deciding to encourage “a mob to overthrow the results” of the election — which Trump has maintained was rigged.
The campaign also accused Trump of thinking “he’s above the law,” stating that’s why he is pursuing the Oval Office despite being “a convicted felon,” and claimed the former President would “do anything” to acquire and maintain “power for himself.”
Biden’s campaign had plenty to say about Trump’s actions despite remaining relatively silent for days following the President’s abysmal debate performance.
In its statement, the campaign claimed Trump had become “more unhinged” since January 6, and without proof, stated the former President is “promising to be a dictator ‘on day one'” and had called for the U.S. “Constitution to be ‘terminated.'”
The campaign continued its scare tactics by falsely claiming Trump had promised a “bloodbath” if he lost in November, adding that American voters had “already rejected… Trump’s self-obsessed quest for power” and claimed Biden would ensure “they reject it for good in November.”
However, since Thursday’s debate, Trump has increased his lead over Biden in many polls.
