(TruthAndLiberty.com) – On Friday, President Biden in a high-stakes interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos argued that he is capable of defeating former President Donald Trump and that there was no one more qualified than him to be in this race. During his statements, he also defended his health.
Biden, when talking about Trump, argued that he is convinced about two things, the first being that he is the most qualified person to defeat Trump in a race, and the second that he knows what he has to do for things to get done.
Stephanopoulos told the president that he is currently trailing behind Trump, especially in key battleground states, despite the fact that Trump has been convicted on 34 charges in the hush money case in New York.
However, when asked whether the polls should push him against running again, Biden argued that it should not because he is “running against a pathological liar.”
On Wednesday, a New York Times/ Siena College poll was released which showed that since the first presidential debate, Trump had expanded his lead by 6 points. When the host asked Biden whether he believes he is not behind in the polls, Biden argued that he had talked with pollsters who had all told him that it is a toss-up. He also argued that this specific poll is an outlier.
When Stephanopoulos argued that Biden also appeared to be behind in the popular vote, Biden argued that he did not “buy that.”
When asked what it would take for him to drop out of the race, Biden claimed that the Lord needed to come down and tell him to do so.
