(TruthAndLiberty.com) – On Thursday, Nikki Haley, the Republican presidential contender, argued that it’s imperative for GOP members in Congress to contemplate initiating impeachment proceedings against President Joe Biden. This suggestion was prompted by fresh whistleblower accusations implying that Biden meddled in a federal inquiry into his son Hunter Biden’s tax matters.

While featuring on the Fox News program “Gutfeld!”, Haley was questioned by host Greg Gutfield about why GOP representatives aren’t already pursuing impeachment. She responded affirmatively, asserting the necessity to commence the process.

A representative from Haley’s campaign, on the following day, clarified that Haley was advocating for congressional supervision that could potentially lead to an impeachment proceeding. Ken Farnaso, in his declaration, stated Haley’s belief that it was up to Congress to examine if Biden had engaged in any criminal or impeachable behavior, especially since the Department of Justice seems reluctant to do so. Such a course of action would be initiated via a Congressional oversight probe.

Haley, a former ambassador to the United Nations under the Trump administration, made these remarks as House Republicans were contemplating querying Justice Department and IRS officials regarding the allegations of inquiry meddling. The heads of the House Oversight, Judiciary, and Ways and Means committees plan to interview numerous officials connected to Hunter Biden’s tax investigation.

When asked about the IRS whistleblower, Haley affirmed their credibility, stating this wasn’t merely an individual making unverified claims. The whistleblower, Gary Shapley, is a senior special agent with the IRS’s criminal investigations and has been employed by the agency since 2009. His Congressional testimony transcript was released last month.
