Biden Would Rather Rescue Fish Than Help Struggling Americans
(TruthandLiberty.com) – In the summer of 2021, the Pacific Northwest power grid experienced rolling blackouts during a crippling heatwave. Could the demand for energy and lack of supply be a cause of concern moving forward? It could if the Biden administration gets its way.
On Monday, July 11, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) issued a report recommending the government breach four dams in Idaho along the Columbia and Snake Rivers supplying critical electricity needs.

The report concluded the state and federal governments should remove the dams to help salmon. Yet, the barriers create 3,033 megawatts of electricity for Washington state and Oregon. The government would pay between $415 million and $860 million yearly to replace the four dams with salmon-friendly designs until they complete the project in 2045, totaling just under $20 billion. Meanwhile, electricity prices would increase by 18% for households.
On Tuesday, Idaho Gov. Brad Little (R) said he opposed NOAA’s plan. The governor said he hoped the administration would review ideas created by the Idaho Salmon Workgroup. It identified 29 solutions that would support salmon while also protecting the economy and communities supported by the electricity the dams produce.
In a statement from the White House, officials said they aren’t endorsing the proposal or particular actions identified in the report, at least not yet.
