Vice President Kamala Harris was pressed during interviews with “CBS Mornings” and ABC’s “Good Morning America,” as CBS anchor Gayle King and ABC anchor George Stephanopoulos both reminded her that many Americans believed that the Biden administration’s economic policies have worsened their lives.

President Biden is currently preparing to make the long-anticipated announcement that he will be seeking reelection in 2024. However, many have questioned whether Vice President Kamala Harris would stay on Biden’s side and be on his 2024 ticket. Harris is not particularly popular with the American public right now, despite this it is uncommon for a President to change their vice President for their second term.

During the CBS interview, Harris said that Biden is fully intent on running and that if he does indeed run then she will run with him. This seemed to be a way of shutting down the rumors coming from some Democrats that Biden is looking for a different Vice President.
However, Harris is not currently particularly liked, with the New York Times releasing an article last week claiming that Harris is struggling to “define her vice presidency. Even her allies are tired of waiting.”

The piece focused on Harris’ impact on the administration as the first female and Black vice President in history. According to the article, there were many Democrats who were eager to move away from Harris in order to have the best possible results in the next election cycle.
