The Washington Post-ABC News recent poll has shown that President Biden’s approval ratings have dropped even lower, falling another 6 percentage points between February and May.

According to a recent survey, the number of Americans who approved of Biden’s performance in the White House had decreased from 42 to 36 percent. On the other hand, 56 percent of respondents stated that they disapprove of Biden’s handling of his job.

Of those who approve, 18 percent “strongly approve” while 47 percent “strongly disapprove.” While there was an increase in those who strongly disapprove, those who strongly approve have remained the same since February.

When respondents were many to choose between Biden and former President Trump in different areas, 54 percent stated that Trump had done better at handling the economy, while 36 percent stated the same for Biden. Seven percent stated that neither had been better.

Biden recently announced his presidential re-election campaign through video. This has led to increased concerns about the possibility of the 2024 presidential election turning into a rematch of the 2020 presidential election. Biden, who is the country’s oldest sitting president, also has to deal with concerns about his age, which many fear have affected his mental capabilities and ability to do his job.

In a hypothetical rematch between the two men, 44 percent stated that they would support Trump while 38 percent said the same about Biden.

The poll surveyed 1,006 potential voters between April 28 to May 3 and has a margin of error of 3.5 percent.
