(TruthAndLiberty.com) – Viktor Shokin, a former Ukrainian Prosecutor General revealed during an exclusive sit-down Fox News interview that he had been fired over his probe into Burisma, an energy firm that Hunter Biden had been on the board of.
The interview with Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade is going to air on Saturday at 8 p.m. and during his remarks, Shokin claimed that it was his own personal belief that the reason he was fired was because of the bribes that Hunter Biden and his father, then-President Joe Biden had received.
Petro Poroshenko, the Former Ukrainian President had fired Shokin in 2016, during the Obama administration, one year after he had been hired. In the interview, Shokin claimed that Poroshenko had fired him because of the pressure he had experienced from the U.S. government and specifically from then-Vice President Biden. He added that both Poroshenko and Biden had understood that if he was to continue his investigation into Burisma then he would have uncovered the corrupt activities of Hunter Biden, Devon Archer, and other associates.
Shokin further claimed that it is his belief that both Hunter and Joe Biden had received bribes that are connected to this case, but he did not provide any evidence for these personal convictions. He added that the bribing is also evident by the fact that Biden had given $1 billion in U.S. money in exchange for Shokin being fired. He then questioned whether that fact alone was enough to bring forward a corruption case.
