(TruthAndLiberty.com) – On Friday, President Biden once again falsely stated that his son, Beau, had died in Iraq. He then incorrectly claimed that he had previously run for President during his time serving as the vice President in the Obama administration.
During a speech at Nash Community College in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, Biden stated that he had not planned to run for the White House again, and that originally he had run and then became the Vice President during President Barack Obama’s administration. He proceeded to say that when the new administration came in after Obama’s term was over, his life completely changed as he lost his son in Iraq. He then reiterated that he had not planned on running again.
Despite Biden’s claims, Beau did not die during the Iraq war, but rather he died in May 2015 from glioblastoma at Walter Reed military hospital in Bethesda, Maryland. Beau had served in Iraq for a year starting in 2008. Biden has maintained that Beau’s illness could be the result of the time he spent in the toxic burn pits in Iraq. This is why he has repetitively claimed to have lost his son in Iraq.
This is not the only incorrect statement that Biden made though. His remarks about having ran for President while he was serving in the Obama administration also proved to be confusing, as Biden had run unsuccessfully in the Democratic presidential primary in 2007 and the next time that he ran was in 2020.
