(TruthAndLiberty.com) – A Trump campaign source has claimed that the Secret Service had previously attempted to deny having metal detectors during the graduation ceremony of Barron Trump, son of former President Donald Trump. Both Donald Trump and his wife, Melania who is the former First Lady are planning on attending the ceremony.
The New York Times in a report noted that originally the security forces had denied metal detectors that could help detect any firearms being carried by a possible assassin during Barron’s high school graduation ceremony. The excuse that has been used for this decision is that the graduation ceremony is not a “political” event.
Trump events generally do not have metal detectors which has resulted in a lot of concerns relating to the possible vulnerability caused by this decision.
When it comes to Barron Trump’s graduation however the requests had ended up being honored.
Anthony Guglielmi, a spokesperson for the Secret Service, had not been given any information regarding the Secret Service initially denying the request. He also admitted the previous claims that Trump and his entourage had been denied security on Saturday.
In May, there had been delays caused during Trump’s rally in the South Bronx because the Secret Service had failed to provide enough metal detectors. This also blocked Trump from having a larger crowd in his rally that was taking place in a city that has been historically controlled by the Democrats.
There have been multiple reports that have emerged over the last week as the Secret Service had failed to stop a would-be assassin during Trump’s rally. The shooter had ended up wounding Trump, injuring two other attendees and killing one.
