(TruthandLiberty.com) – Across America, it’s become fashionable for far-left politicians and celebrities to attack the police verbally. It’s come with a growing trend of dangerous violence against the people who serve in law enforcement. In January, New York City Police Officers Wilbert Mora and Jason Rivera were shot and killed while responding to a domestic disturbance call. Thousands of police and law enforcement supporters showed up in force in New York City to mourn the loss during Rivera’s funeral procession, showing their support for the NYPD.
The news didn’t sit well with one celebrity. On Tuesday, February 1, Oscar-winning actress Susan Sarandon sparked a firestorm. On Twitter, she compared the gathering of mourners to fascists. Critics lambasted the 74-year-old actress over the controversial post. She’s been a long-time outspoken critic of police brutality and participated in many Black Lives Matter protests across the country, including in Brooklyn. The actress also heavily supported Democratic socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders’ (I-VT) run for president.
This is what privilege looks like: a wealthy actress, safe in her bubble, mocking heroes & making light of the crisis that cops are battling alongside our communities. NYC is uniting to stop the violence — @SusanSarandon is living on a different planet.https://t.co/U1q0t32TzR

Despite her language, few, if any, liberals denounced Sarandon’s comment; they must not know the definition of fascism. Merriam-Webster defines fascism as a political ideology and an autocratic form of government headed by a dictator, with rule through suppression or division. So, how does supporting police under assault from the left-wing establishment meet this definition?
You be the judge.
